The Total War series is known to the gaming community as a global strategy in which battles and political elements are balanced. The games allowed the player to establish control over the world map. At the same time there was no multiplayer (global), so you had to think about tactics alone in the campaign and slowly seize power, trying not to make mistakes.

But what if you remove the scale and add multiplayer battles? Developers at Creative Assembly decided to depart from the franchise's direction and presented a free-to-play online project called Total War: Arena. Genre: a mix of RTS and MOBA. At the time of writing, the developers were conducting a beta test and were handing out keys for activation on Steam (to do this you had to buy a starter pack or submit an application). The full version's release date – by the end of 2017.
